About
The museum’s heritage was enriched in 2016 with a piece of living history: the Saxon wine-growing farm in Șeica Mică, or Kleinschelken in German. This remarkable acquisition was made possible through the Open Heritage project, which aims to bring wider access to the ethnic values for the public. The traditional brick house is not only important for the architecture it illustrates, for its age or for its occupational profile as a winegrower, but also highlights the social and cultural diversity of a dynamic community.
Compact in design, the farmhouse has four living rooms and a cellar with multiple rooms for storing wine and winter supplies. Equipped with functional stoves for heating and cooking, this home serves as an authentic space for cultural activities and events.
